Terms of Service

How the service works, what we promise, and what we need from you in return.

These Terms of Service describe the operating rules for the Locus platform, including availability, communications, account responsibilities, and the practical limits of a service that helps people connect in the real world.

01 The service may evolve, change, or pause as we improve it.

02 You’re responsible for the accuracy of the information you share.

03 Messaging and matching features are provided to support real-world connection, not replace your judgment.

1. The service

Locus provides a digital experience that helps people discover and connect with others nearby. Some features may be experimental, limited, or available only to specific groups, locations, or cohorts.

We may update, expand, remove, or discontinue features at any time as the product evolves. Where practical, we will try to do so in a way that preserves continuity and user trust.

02

2. Service availability

We aim to keep the service available, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted access. Maintenance, network issues, vendor outages, or product changes may affect performance from time to time.

If a feature depends on third-party services or integrations, those dependencies may have their own limitations, outages, or policy requirements.

03

3. Communications and notifications

By using Locus, you agree that we may send you service-related messages such as verification codes, product updates, safety notices, and account information. These messages are part of the service.

You are responsible for keeping your contact information current so that important communications reach you.

04

4. Fees and future offerings

Some parts of the service may be free, while others may later become paid, invite-only, or bundled with other offerings. If we introduce fees, we will describe them clearly before you are charged.

Unless we explicitly say otherwise, all purchases or subscriptions will be governed by the pricing, renewal, and cancellation terms presented at checkout or in the applicable product flow.

No hidden charges should appear without clear notice.

We will explain any billing changes before they take effect.

You can stop using the service if you do not agree to a future change.

05

5. Disputes and governing rules

If a disagreement arises, we want to resolve it quickly and directly. Please contact us first so we have a chance to understand the issue and work toward a practical solution.

These service terms are intended to work alongside any other applicable legal notices or policies we publish for specific features, cohorts, or programs.
